Lack of depth, plot was basic, very corny.

This booked lacked depth. It was very basic and corny. The writing was immature, the characters had no complexity and were underdeveloped, they had one character trait each.
The writing was very immature, it was missing something in almost every paragraph. There was no intention behind it. I want to feel like I’m in the mind of each of the characters, acknowledging why they have certain small traits/ flaws about themselves that influence their character, this author failed in delivering that.

The plot itself was shallow itself. There wasn’t a lot going on because the characters were underdeveloped it had a few problems/resolution but only on the main characters. It seems that anyone who isn’t the main character has absolutely nothing going on except corny add lib moment in the book. The female character was too meek and definitely had a weak mindset. I get being feminine but she is the embodiment of the “male gaze” stereotype. The bestfriend was so forgettable- I literally can’t remember her name. She was a half ass attempt to add more pages. The main male character was okay, but he still felt corny for me.
This author filled pages in a book, nothing more. I didn’t take anything away from this plot. I learned nothing. There was no thoughtfulness and no intention.
