the story, as a story, was ok. book one starts out with a little bit of “humor” at the level of “apocalypse won’t be so bad, as long as all the lib’rals die first.” then it pretty much settled in to a groove of standard adventure tropes and the predictable “good guy? bad guy?” question, as we careen toward the inevitable (gasp!) betrayal. book 2, more of the same. it’s in book 3, where the maga hat comes out in truth and the author really starts to foam at the mouth, mocking snowflakes and libtards at the top of his voice. if you like that sort of thing … enjoy. i’m tapping out, i don’t care that much anymore whether the librarian saves his girlfriend or whether the two idiots finally formulate a plan to capture him (or at least his head.)
