I’m giving up on this one.
This is one good character in a sea of unlikeable characters.
The oldest boy is 13-14 and has already had sex with 2 girls and a grown ass woman, but hey it’s cool he is a boy and that’s what they do.
The characters have no consequences because the author has written it that way. Mort the most interesting person has killed probably thousands of people so far and many were just in the way. The book has yet to deal with that. The mother is high or drunk most of the time but she loves her kids and that makes it all ok.
