I dipped into this one expecting some mid-grade juvenile stuff, but it’s legit. Very well written and performed, it lives up to the hype and if you’re wavering on checking it out, I urge you to give it the time. It’s exceptional, and I give it a confident five stars across the board. It’s not for everyone – it doesn’t pull punches with language and cultural references. This is only the first in a series (I’m a sucker for solid beginnings), so I can’t speak for the rest, but I’m moving forward and looking forward to where this story goes.
