Pulse is the first book in the Landry Security series, but it can be read as a standalone.
With an Adriana Locke book, I know there’s going to be angst (though not a lot), humor, and a great storyline. And this was no exception.
Dahlia was so kind and always saw the best in people, but she wasn’t a pushover either. I liked how she wasn’t afraid to just be herself and let Troy know how she felt.
Troy, ah. He was so guarded and a little grumpy. He had to protect Dahlia, and he was dedicated to his job. But, I was not prepared to hear his backstory. It was so heartbreaking and definitely had lasting effects.
This was a great start to a new series, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

This was my first time listening to Connor Brown, and he did a great job! He really captured the character of Troy. CJ Bloom always does a wonderful job, so I wasn’t disappointed with her performance.
