I saw this recommended and was intrigued so when the opportunity came to listen to the audio and review, I jumped at the chance. It’s a slightly paranormal (though I really kept thinking there would be more) novel featuring Kit, Ethan, and a band of their making trekking through the jungle to find a lost city and gold. This books has it all – a major medical problem (epilepsy); close family member dying; hx of parental death; jungle trekking; an evil ex…partner working for some sort of a cartel boss who does his best to interfere in the quest, and a nod to taboo with the ex stepbrothers theme. I loved the relationship dynamics between the two MCs – just loads of snark accompanied by endless devotion. Just an overall great listen.
