I listened and as each story got worse and worse, I genuinely believed that this was a test of people’s willingness to not abandon something simply because they paid money. The sunk cost theory. Part of me still believes the author wrote unlikable protagonists and outlandish plots, alongside generic pop culture and music references, just to see how long we would last.
