A friend of mine who’s not at all into fantasy recommended this to me, so I had to check it out. I got completely sucked in; I found myself making excuses to work on tasks that would allow me to listen more to this book. The story was not at all what I expected; it manages to be hilarious and heartfelt at the same time. And, as good as the story is, Jeff Hays’ narration completely elevated it. He’s enthusiastic and deeply entertaining, and best of all, I never found myself confused as to which character was talking. I really, really enjoyed this listen!
