Whew! A lot going on! I really did not like the alpha. His tragic past blinded him to his daughter’s needs. The daughter, Katie, is young and very sheltered and unsure of how to face life’s challenges. There is a romance, and maybe more? Not sure if we’re being set up for a reverse harem or a betrayal or…???
Warning: this is obviously the first book in a series. While it doesn’t end on a huge cliffhanger, it’s apparent that the end isn’t The End.
I’m not a fan of single narrators doing multiple characters but understand that sometimes it’s unavoidable. I think the narrator did an admirable job making so many characters sound different. As a southerner, I thought the accent was a touch too much but I know how other listeners enjoy the accent.
