The mother’s horrible abuse was excused by demonic possession and those cuts she inflicted on her kids were her way of protecting them. Yeah no.
Aside from this horrible inference, I actually enjoyed listening to the audiobook of MY DARLING GIRL very much. I chose to view the book as a study in mental illness, not demonic possession, because to me it was much more interesting that way.
