This story was surprisingly engaging. the actors were absolutely great!! They were natural and worked so well together it was easier to go along with the time travel premise than I might have expected. I have listened to a few of Cara Bastone’s books, but this is my favorite. Some of the secondary characters were a little predictable / flat but the main characters were so well acted that it didn’t matter.
It was nice to hear Juni and Mickey get to know each other through opening up in two timelines, and fall in love. More meaningful than the authorial cop out of love at first sight.
I don’t know if it was the director or author’s choice but the two leads talking together during the intro sections was really clever and well done.
Give yourself an afternoon or evening to enjoy this in one sitting!
