Edward is an average guy and a gamer. After looking at possibly two or three years in jail for assaulting his boss, he is contacted by a mysterious figure named Kharon. Kharon offers Ed a way out of his troubles by coming to another world called Ivalis and becoming a dungeon lord and servant of Murmur, the dark God. Although Ed didn’t really believe his would-be benefactor, he took the deal rather than do prison time. That is the start of “Dungeon Lord.”

Now on Ivalis, Ed is thrown into the action and must figure out how to survive. Only there is no reset if he dies. “Dungeon Lord” is a fun, action story with supporting characters that are more than just cookie cutter personalities. Jeff Hays of Soundbooth Theater and Annie Ellicott are the narrators for this novel and quite frankly, Jeff Hayes is the main reason I decided to check this book out. He is a master narrator of audiobooks. His incredible ability to do distinctively different voices for all the characters in the books he reads is nothing short of amazing. Annie Ellicott, whom I not familiar with also does a great job as Amphiris the Spider Queen and Ilene the Mindbrood. The bottom line, if you like LitRPG, (literary role-playing game), fantasy stories, I think you will love “Dungeon Lord.”
