Is super rushed. Pretty much everything the rest of the book builds up to is paraphrased. It’s honestly a real let down, pretty much everything leading up to it is great. The main romantic relationship, the conclusion of the main plot, and the aftermath are *all* summarized at the end, we don’t actually get to see it play out. It’s just like twenty minutes of “here’s what happened.”
Everything up to it is really good, the plot is interesting, the characters are likable, there’s lots of lore, and the spice is spicy. Honestly this would’ve been a five star type deal if not for the lackluster end.
The narrator does a decent job, which is significant because he’s really not my favorite and I tend to avoid his work, but this one really was good.
