Between this and the last book. The most well thought out bit of world building. Was the creation of the orc cult. Just because it at least had some cause abnd effect involved.
The world is a piece of cardboard that exists to make the main characters more powerful and for polygamy. Most of this book is devoted to the polygamist aspect of the world, pointing out poorly thought out differences between this world and earth with really poor reasoning involved all throughout. A randomly long discussion on religion denominatioms that failed to even take into account abrahamic roots. World building is really just terribly done.
The characters are feeling repetitive now with their angst. And for a supposed world where roles are switched, women do all the typical male jobs and men do female. All the women are pretty much all angsting, self doubtimg damsels who’s only cleverness pops up when it comes to ensuring they get married and get their polygamy on. And both women have pretty much the exact same internal dialogue. Like copy paste almost.
And the combat well it was very animesque. The cheap kind. Lots of flash and booms until something arbitrary occurs to secure a victory. Only good thing I can really say is at least its not relying on some kind of luck skill or stat to duex ex machina everything like nearly every other litrpg.
