Horns and Organs During Speech

I’m getting very frustrated with this series. It could be extremely good, but it’s constantly putting organ music, horns, chimes and all sorts of completely inappropriate cacophony over critical parts of the story making me completely unable to hear what the narrator is saying. During one critical part of the book, for instance, I had to replay a ten minute period over and over and over to try to figure out what happened, and this happens all throughout the book.

In what world would a producer think it’s okay to put music over an audiobook’s narration. This isn’t a film where you can have music over a scene which has no speech. This is a book, and I cannot hear critical parts of it because of the producer’s insanity.
