I read one review that stated “no down time” and after making it into book 4 to this point I know what they meant. Once things get rolling it is one catastrophe after another with no rest in between. Some rather ridiculous coincidences in the books to draw characters together that are cringe worthy. Plus, the author tends to forget how long injuries last. Totally forgetting about cracked ribs or other injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash (if they play no part in the story why have the wreck?). Also, forgetting about a broken nose and the repercussions (black eyes and bruising) that come with that from one chapter to the next. Things like that are annoying to me.
Not a horrible series of books and I will finish and return to edit the review, but so many little things that just seem silly or rushed or forgotten I cannot see myself a fan.
Narration is good I believe and even enjoy the southern twang the narrator adds, having some myself.
