While not as good of a storyline as the first in this series, I’ve been very entertained by this second book. Seeing the continuing relationship between the two main characters grow and solidify was very satisfying, especially when considering how far they’d both come personally since the beginning of their story.

To the authors credit, this may be the first time I’ve actually believed the plot device of two characters misunderstanding each other and blowing it monumentally out of proportion because they won’t admit what’s actually wrong. In general, authors try and use this plot device with characters who are otherwise good people so it’s hard to believe they’d have that kind of lapse. In this book, our two guys are still their self centered, selfish, egotistical selves and honestly the story wouldn’t have been believable without the plot having some misunderstandings.

Joel the narrator again gave a fabulous performance, I was nearly in tears laughing at the bonus chapters.

Definitely recommend, but be sure to read the first book first.
