Ilias follows on from the first book, these should probably be read in order, there are major spoilers for book one and I think you need to have read book one for this book to make sense.

I wasn’t really sure about this series after book one, i was hoping that it would develop more in the second book but that didn’t happen for me. It was enjoyable but it wasn’t gripping.

The main relationship between Ilias and Andrea is a bit dysfunctional, they’re both trying to protect themselves and test the other person and they just never seemed to mesh for me, it left me thinking that they aren’t suited. They seemed to go from “I’m not sure about you even though we are ‘fated'” to “OMG I love you” in the space of a chapter.

I like the concept, I’m just not sold on the execution.

The narrator did a good job, i liked the character voices and the overall delivery was good.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
