This book was okay, but everything about it felt LitRPG quality, or like what you’d expect from an author who is mass producing books without concern for producing their magnum opus. It doesn’t feel like the necessary care was put into this.

My main problems are that the different characters do not feel like unique people. They feel like, for a lack of a better description, like how a neckbeard would write a fanfic. Female characters, for example, seem very ‘men writing women’ stereotype. They don’t seem like real people.

The other major problem is that although the story is told from multiple perspectives, the narrator basically uses the same voice for every character.

It’s not a bad story, but I feel these 5 star glowing reviews are misleading.
