But the reckless sociopath assassin 20 something daughter is a long stretch and if anything almost unbelievable The common theme of the prepper who is the only one who is willing to be the law and savior is a common theme but maybe overused. I have listened to perhaps 20 plus post apocalyptic works of fiction and they all have this theme – An event that is catastrophic to society and government takes place, gov is absolutely crippled and ineffective , private southern, rural citizens are the only viable communities left While perhaps not implausible, it is a theme that has been overplayed. As for the Antogonist, the warlord theme is very common especially the slaver who captures hapless women. However, that character seems two dimensional and more pit of an episode of the Walking Dead than any sort if realistic character.
