An impactful and hard story to listen to as it was one of the most memorable books I’ve heard in a while – thanks to the author, Bella J. She wrote a heroine that was human but powerful and a man that loved and respected every inch of her.
My only critique is the narration – although they did a good job, it wasn’t great. The male narrator wasn’t gritty or sexy enough and he sounded much older than his character was in the story. The female was a tad better but occasionally was whiny and annoying.
Overall, the story overcame the narration (not the worst I’ve heard by far) and I can’t wait for the next book. I’d definitely recommend this series.
