Where does One Man’s Opus rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The TOP: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE BOTH THE AUTHOR, BOYD CRAVEN (truly talented writer) paired with the Best, in my opinion, narrators: KEVIN PIERCE.
This man can read you the ad on the back of the weekly grocery sale paper and make you want to have him read the whole newspaper to you.
What did you like best about this story?
The Dog!, the girl, the guy, the friendship & loyalty between a dog and man/woman. The loyalty of man to his/her dog and how Boyd Craven made you think that maybe this is really what a dog is thinking when he is with his human.
Have you listened to any of Kevin Pierce’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes I have & KEVIN PIERCE is my favorite narrator. I actually look for books he has narrated, as he brings the story out in ways that no other narrator can. Even if I don’t like the story/book but Kevin Pierce is the narrator, I listen/continue with the book: HE IS THAT GOOD-GREAT IS A BETTER DESCRIPTION FOR THIS MAN’S TALENT IN TELLING A STORY. He brings out the little things in a story with the way he uses inflections in his voices with words. There is no way to express how good this narrator is.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
My Human: a dog’s view of us, not as his master but his companion/partner.
Any additional comments?
I have failed to state how wonderful a story teller Boyd Craven is and I apologize for that.
Boyd Craven’s books are a favorite of mine and I have read a lot of apocalyptic/dystopian SHTF books, so I think I am a good judge of this genre.
I have to say though, this is one of my favorite series by Boyd Craven.
