I’ve loved all the books in this series. I couldn’t put this book down. I listened to the entire book in a day. The author is a gifted storyteller, engaging the reader with characters. Before reading this series, I read his The Borrowed World Series twice and The Locker Nine Series. I held off on this one thinking I wouldn’t like it as well, but I was very wrong. It continued to fill in some of the gaps from The Borrowed World Series but also provides a rich storyline all its own. I became enthralled with all the characters. I hope I live long enough to see these made into movies. There is so much content here that would appeal to audiences. I also want to say that the audiobook narrator is one of my all-time favorites. I’ve been listening to audiobooks nonstop for over ten years after a concussion damaged my occipital lobe, making visual reading difficult. This narrator has perfect voice inflection, speed, and is very pleasant to listen to.
