Wow…this was not expected. I, like many others, enjoy a good old fashioned apocalyptic tale. But this was on a whole different level. The story centers around a married, pregnant couple that ends up stuck in the middle of your standard zombie eating human festival. The story itself was interesting and had its twists and turns. The part that fell a bit short for me was some of the commentary. It is hard for me to believe that someone who witnesses a loved one turn into a zombie, eat people…among other things…would elude to looking like a fast food meal to them. It just sounded so weird and out of place. There is also an 11 year old girl in the story that holds adult conversations, shoots a gun like an Olympic marksman, and evaluates situations like a special agent. The narration was good, both male and female voices performed by Andrew B. Wehrlen. At my request, this book was provided free of charge. My review has been provided voluntarily.
