I will start by qualifying myself. I listened to every novel and every story prior to this point. But this one started to make blanket economic and political commentary that was not only ridiculous, but totally unsupported. I just wanted a good story and next thing I know I am getting beat over the head with communist manifesto like propaganda. Maybe it was used as a device later in the story to demonstrate how disturbed this character was, but I just couldn’t get past that point. I had ignored it the first couple times, but eventually I saw this nonsensical take on society as a theme in the book and I just could not stand it any more. I will be requesting a refund, but we will see if I can get it. I am thoroughly disappointed.
