Evidently I’ve been missing out on a really good series. Even though this is the 7th book in the series it is the first I have listened to.

It took me a chapter or two to get familiar with the story and characters but after that I was hooked. It had my complete attention from start to finish. It’s an entertaining story full of action and on the edge of your seat suspense. I enjoyed the story enough to want to go back and listen to the series from the beginning.

As if trying to survive Primal’s (zombies) isn’t enough in an apocalyptic world you also have to fight to protect what is left of your world from those who would try to take everything from you. Your basic right’s, your freedom, your life and everything you love.

Interesting little twist to the zombie’s. Some of them have “evolved” they are “intelligent/thinking” alpha zombie’s.

Andrew Wehrlen once again does a fantastic job with the narration. He has one of those voices that is perfect for narrating books. Clearly spoken with a nice even pace. Great character voices. His voice just pulls you into a story and brings it to life. Always a pleasure listening to a book he is narrating.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and voluntarily provided this review.
