the concept is cool and the setting is rather intense at times, but it mostly reads like a reddit post. the violence and torture bits all feel forced and overblown. characters are all really weak. the narrator did a decent job with what they had, so there’s that.
beats not having a book to listen to but it was a slog for most of it.
