Love the way this audiobook delves right into the detective work and is psyche. The authors initial attempts to write Jarvis as your typical down on your luck detective is what makes Jarvis Mann so likeable is that he doesn’t really see himself as down on his luck. Jarvis being developed as a detective that is written as a normal person makes him a favorite detective.
I’ll be tranparent as a young to the business narrator I know this will sound nitpicky, the narrators voice just didn’t hit me as “Jarvis Mann”. Very crisp, very clear yet it was not want I expected. That being said, the narrator did a great job, voice inflections were pretty good and I will grow into them as Jarvis’ voice.
This was a short piece, but it was not fluff, allowed for character development and in a way that makes you want Dennis to come back and grow with each audiobook as he did with the books.
Overall, highly recommend and look forward to more
