Would you consider the audio edition of Villains Pride to be better than the print version?
Gods above and below, yes. . Due to the fourth wall breaking narrator there is content exclusive to the audio version that meta very rewarding.
What did you like best about this story?
The humor. I spent the entire time laughing as Superhero medium was deconstructed for th enjoyment of the listener.
Which scene was your favorite?
I don’t want to give away too much but there is a scene where someone is narrating about having the upper hand over Jackson and then carpet pulled out from under him.
If you could take any character from Villains Pride out to dinner, who would it be and why?
No one. Seriously this is a book filled with villains even the heroes. The main character is himself a god and like all gods it sucks for the regular folks that cross their path. It’s a good time listening to it but you really don’t want to be there unless you are Jackson himself.
Any additional comments?
Preview the book first. If the sense of humor is your cup of tea it will be the best comedic novel the year. If not then you will be miserable because it’s nonstop. If the writing appeals to you but you are turned off by the superhero genre or the humor is a bit much try M.K Gibson Technomancer novel. It’s the same brilliant writer but much more serious because of the lack of deconstructing of tropes which is where a lot of the humor comes in.
