I hadn’t noticed the length of the book before starting to listen, so it was surprising when it ended. I expected a little more story and world developing. This felt more like an introduction than anything. The writing style is fine but there just wasn’t enough meat on the bone to chew on for me to be satisfied with this book. Perhaps if I read the other books in the series.
There is a small introduction to the Shifters’s world at first and how they do not get along with the other races, this left me with more question then answer which this book does not address.
