What made the experience of listening to Tallow Jones: Wizard Detective the most enjoyable?
I found this book to be completely engrossing. I’ve enjoyed all of Trevor’s books, but it seemed like he pulled out a new trick here with how seeming plot holes were resolved. Maybe it was the way I got involved in the story or my mood that day, but I felt myself getting frustrated with what seemed like plot holes, then greatly enjoying the surprise resolution to them. That just doesn’t really happen to me much anymore due to being a lifelong reader.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Tallow Jones: Wizard Detective?
I can’t believe it, but I was actually caught off guard by the twist.
What about Andrew Tell’s performance did you like?
Andrew’s just a great reader. I immediately liked him when he read Trevor’s first book.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I did and did!
Any additional comments?
Trevor creates likable protagonists that tend to act like decent people. His antagonists aren’t overly complex, but they (given the context) have believable motivations for their behaviors. Andrew brings them all to life.
