I’m mostly in this series for the narration. There are some mixing issues that I didn’t notice in the previous book—an obvious change in quality where certain lines must have been rerecorded—but the narration itself is consistently strong throughout.

The romance is totally unoriginal, all insecurity and poor communication. But it’s better than Book 1 because they do actually eventually talk about it. I also found the plot less predictable than Book 1, though it’s still nothing earth shattering or unique.
