Cute. Maybe a little too cute

I love campy shifter romance, but this was a little too teenage squee for me. It’s nothing terrible, just awfully cute for a book also featuring two MM sex scenes. The dino-shifter thing at least gets us away from the whole alpha-wolf dom thing, which I appreciate.

Simon: “My inner child is a fatAss”

We can add geekdom to the feel, with paleontologist and movie nerd Simon, who Dalton fixates on during their forced proximity and the good ole’ “there’s only one bed” schtick.

Finally, the narration was solid except there wasn’t enough differentiation between Dalton and Simon’s voice. I occasionally had to recalibrate when I realized whose POV was actually on. I’m satisfied with the sale price. Maybe I’ll try another if I can get that on sale too.
