I am late to this book- by 20 years or so. I understand there are some who argue this author is wrong. I’m not seeing their point. Dr Hodel had all of the necessary components in his life to be and do this, as well as the other numerous crimes described. If you don’t really find the detailed background and actual written reports from investigation and legal proceedings, this book will be way too much for you.
The Pathetic behavior of the LAPD and other power people in the area back in the day should be called out. I understand why LAPd doesn’t want to acknowledge the dirty past, but perhaps it is too close to the truth of dirty cops and politicians to this day.

I don’t need to read or watch anything else about the Black Dahlia, and I can also put a number of other unsolved cases to rest because of this book.
