TJ Klune is an absolute master of capturing a characters voice and breathing the character to life. The beginning of this installment absolutely insnared me and I lost a night of sleep over it.
After the last book, I would describe this one like going for a cold plunge. Diving into it you think you know where you are, what’s going on, what’s going to happen. Then confusion. Then absolute shock. Followed by pain, numbness, and eventually relief.
