I listened to the audiobook version of this book. I’m going to start by saying that Joel Leslie did an amazing job once again and brought the characters, their relationship and their friends and family to life.
This was a great continuation from Book one. It starts where the first book stops and is delineated by Spencer having a new client, Lance. There are twists with this client, and those twists bring in more secondary characters.
The MC’s relationship moves forward in this book and they start to become more comfortable with each other and the fact there is a relationship. There are still issues with insecurities and dealing with past harships, but those are not things that stop overnight so it’s fitting with the characters. They start to integrate their lives and become a “couple.” The heat level ramps up and it’s HOT.
Another great book by what I am coming to understand is a great author.
