An all-powerful lich goes to sleep, gets woken up a few thousand years later. He feels the need to get caught up.

I liked it. This is basically a fish-out-of-water story, he doesn’t know the current state of things.

A sample goal: He wants to read some books with as little fuss as possible. But things go wrong. And his butler is acting weird.

A classic problem with all-powerful beings is introducing a sense of threat into the story. Since Herald’s goals tend to be fairly simple but fragile, based on people cooperating with him, there is a steady sense of threat in them.
