I have read all six Dungeon Crawler Carl books that are available so far, twice over, and couldn’t remember if I had written a review. Turns out, I hadn’t. These books have been so much fun that I felt obligated to leave one.
First of all, the narration by Jeff Hays/Soundbooth Theater is superb, Carl and Donut are brought to life perfectly. The books aren’t just read, but performed. It enhances the experience exponentionally.
Matt Dinniman must be a weird guy, but thank goodness. The stories are absurd and off the wall, but you will care about these characters. You will quote these characters to your family.
Give it a try. Highly recommended.
