I have listened to this book 4 times. It is an amazing start. In my opinion, it does an excellent job of laying the groundwork for the best series I have ever listened to. My previous favorite was the wheel of time series. But I wouldn’t say the two are very similar. this series is fast paced. The first book isn’t as good as the rest of the series as it takes you from knowing nothing to understanding the world in general. I still think it’s amazing, it’s just the series keeps getting better. I highly recommend it.
