I thoroughly enjoy your books. I will say they tend to lack a lot of character background, especially characters with military background.
Look if your gonna say a character is an ex SEAL, don’t then write that the exSEAL is learning tracking an trapping from his new girlfriend.
You may not see how that could come across as a slight towards your readers who served.
But at the very least it kinda screamed either a lack of care in the character creation or a lack of care or desire to do a rudimentary amount of research on your characters behalf.
That said, an having lived some of life’s more gruesome reality’s, I find your books tend to be a perfect intro to the survival genre, mainly due to them not including a lot of the really horrible things that will end up actually taking place in similar events
