This is a well written series and I’m delighted that it didn’t drag out with over-explanations of things. The author does a great job of developing characters without each character’s back story becoming it’s own novella. I appreciate that the demise of the antagonists is swift without long explanation; dispatch the weasels and leave them in the rear-view ?

McDermott also does a nice job of taking several small story threads and weaving them into distinct patches of the whole story.

Kevin Pierce is perhaps the best narrator for this genre and his performance in this was spot on.

I think this is a series I’ll keep on my device to hear again while driving.

Well done…
