This series had great potential. Hence the high ratings from years ago. There was a great storyline and arc started. Great world building and character builder. The first two books had a direction and motive. Then somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd book the author changed everything about the MC. Which worked with the story since it wasn’t all to unbelievable for a billionaire playboy to grow up and settle down. So the harem style is over by book 3 and that’s still fine. But then halfway through book three the author has some personal issues and just decides to put an abrupt end to the series. Now if book 4 ever releases and corrects some issues with this storyline, I’d gladly update my rating. But this was crap to do to fans of the series after all the money and time invested by readers and listeners. The author has a touching note written after the conclusion that makes it somewhat forgiven. But the author should’ve let a fan continue writing the series versus just ending it. The way it’s done leaves a lot open for another book. But as is, my recommendation is not to invest the time, money, or emotion into an incomplete series.
