The author did a great job with descriptions and really helping us feel like we were in the story. We a given bits of information from Helen’s past a little bit at a time and we see how the past clashes with the present. I liked how the author incorporated the insecurities that people often feel when looking at other’s social media and how easily things can be misunderstood or twisted to look better than things really are. Helen is a relatable character, however, she does some things that are a little frustrating. I enjoyed this easy listen. This second chance romance didnt turn out how I anticipated, but the ending is still satisfying.
The narrator gave a great performance and had good accents that matched the setting well.
