You should absolutely not get this book if…
You hate fun, you hate puns, you hate well written power fantasy, you hate fantastic voice acting and sound design.

Dead tired is a very well written power fantasy. It piggybacks off of 5th edition D&D mechanics combined with some basic LitRPG tropes but makes them its own seamlessly and knows how to make an adventure with an overpowered main character still fun and interesting.

My only gripe is that I wish one of the references was more subtle like the others, but I enjoyed it just the same and the puns were delightful. True word play is more just mashing sound-alike words wherever they fit and the wordplay is this book is fantastic.

As always soundbooth theatre’s narration and sound design bring this book to life in a way that few others can manage and always make the experience an order of magnitude superior to more drab performances or simply reading the book myself.
