I understand this narrator has won awards. I understand he makes an impression in horror / suspense stories, but this one isn’t for him. You can tell he is used to stories with fewer characters to voice. At this point, most of the voices are blending together in this series. He also has a tendency to put emphasis in weird places, but this is a minor complaint. Mostly, its the voices and the “Muddy” sound of his voice that are not working for me.

Story wise, a fine progression. Bagwell does an excellent job enticing frustration towards the characters I am supposed to be frustrated at. Although – this book did have a little more teenage angst than the previous books in this series.
