Like my review of the first book, I don’t have much to say. This series is an in depth exploration of the mechanics of necromancy and the mentality of the main character, both of which are concepts I thoroughly enjoy. The execution is good, the characters feel real, and there isn’t much plot armor to speak of. I’m enjoying where the story is going, and Phil Thron is doing an excellent job with the narration. Quality and content wise, it’s pretty much unchanged from book one, which is a good thing as that book was quite well made. I will definitely be coming back for book three.

The Three and The Court make my eye twitch every time they pull their strings of Tyron, but I think that’s intentional. Arrogant a-holes.

I fully recommend.
