Ok, this was kind of awesome! I really liked the twist it took, and the five-year-jump was precisely what I needed to get sucked in.

I didn’t really feel like this was a romance. To be honest, I read someone else’s review that said this, and I thought, hey, they were right.

There was a hook-up and the possibility of more. But it was more about a story about Sam and him finding his footing in his new job and then discovering who he truly is. I think that in of itself is kind of great.

I love that he made friends and had confidence in himself.

I think I will finish this series, just not right now. Great first book.

The narration makes me not want to jump into book 2. Joel is a little too theatrical.
