Identical twins are sometimes known to stand-in for each other. After an unfortunate experience trying to break up with a boyfriend, Anders is afraid to do it again. He cycles through men; dates one for about a month, and, each time, sends his twin, Lawson (Law), to act as him and do the breakup for him.
When Anders is setup on a blind date with Reid, he sends Law to stand-in for him. Law, who is supposedly straight, ends up sleeping with Reid. Which doesn’t matter since he’ll never see the guy again. Unfortunately, the two end up working together (as Law; not Anders) once a week. To make things messy, Law shows up every once in a while as Anders to sleep with Reid. What happens when Reid meets the real Anders and Anders has no idea who he is?
The story takes place in Australia. I found this book by searching for the narrator, Antony. As a bonus, I have always loved Joel’s Australian accent. Since it was on Audible plus, I listened on a whim. It greatly exceeded my expectations. I have purchased the second book in the series. I will look into the author’s other books.
Triggers are child abuse and domestic violence. The book contains serious matter but I still consider it on the fluffy side; a lot of the book is unrealistic. It was enjoyable.
Post Production issue: There is a difference in the volume between the narrators. Joel’s audio is much lower in volume.
