Jason meets the Earth Avatar. Earth Avatar has Time-Magic. that means they cheat until they get the perfect outcome. the entire book is just a “everything goes perfect rainbows and butterflies of happiness” for Jason’s and Arcadia’s (Cady) plans. and then when they finally lose? Nope. “I reloaded an earlier save, let’s try again.”
Then the epilogue just shows how crazy and messed up the entire company truly is.
The book left me with mixed feelings on whether or not it’s good. I’d cheat too if I had time magic, but it feels like a cop-out for writing a different outcome to the story.
