First off, I’m a huge fan of zombie apocalypse series and also a huge fan of 1 credit omnibus deals. This one had 9 books in it so why not. The only thing that made me hesitant was the First Person perspective. I’ve read a few and enjoyed them but still not used to it but damn, Bobby Adair (the author) made it easy with his words and the narrator, Phil Thron, took that and hit a home run with his flawless performance. Back to the title of the review. The characters were interesting and had depth. Mostly regular people trying to survive and throughout the books the come and go, if you know what I mean. The main protagonist was great and with a fantastic supportive cast, I never lost interest. This is for the most part not a military apocalyptic story but with regular people trying to survive among the hordes of undead taking over the world. If you’re a fan of the theme this is a most have series.
